With accumulated sales of 8.3 million units in 2005 alone, X&Y was the best-selling music album released in 2005. It was a significant commercial success, reaching the top spot in the chart of 32 countries around the world, including the United Kingdom and United States, being Coldplay's first album to top the US chart. Overall reaction to the album was generally positive, though some critics cited it as being inferior to its predecessors. X&Y was released after a considerable amount of global anticipation. The song " Talk" appeared in the track listing, although after it leaked online in early 2005 it was thought to have been downgraded to a B-side for the album's subsequent single releases. It was originally planned for American country star Johnny Cash to record it with lead singer Chris Martin, but Cash died before he was able to do so. It is omitted from the track listing on the album sleeve, but listed as "+" on the disc label and inside the album booklet. The space rock album contains twelve tracks and an additional hidden track, "Til Kingdom Come". The album's cover art is a combination of colours and blocks, which is a representation of the Baudot code. It is noted for its troubled and urgent development, with producer Ken Nelson having originally been tasked with producing much of the album however, many songs written during his sessions were discarded owing to the band's dissatisfaction with them. The album was produced by Coldplay and producer Danton Supple. It was released on 6 June 2005 by Parlophone in the United Kingdom, and a day later by Capitol Records in the United States.
'Cause you're a sky, you're a sky full of starsĬoldplay is my favorite band, and this is my interpretation of a song can't get out of my mind now because translates feelings that I'm currently experiencing.X&Y is the third studio album by the British rock band Coldplay. 'Cause you're a sky, 'cause you're a sky full of stars My InterpretationI believe this song is about falling hard in love, but in a kind of naive way, like the way we fall for someone when we are teenagers, a foollish way, when the adrenaline from "being in love" is enough (even when it's nonreciprocal), just because it feels so damn good at the moment that you just don't want it to stop. I like EVERY Coldplay song, from this all the way back to the Safety EP. I think the whole reason for it being kinda edm/house is to show that they actually care about everything they do even if it is different. (It's wonderful to see the amazing fanbase that takes EVERYTHING Coldplay has into heart and cherishes it.) (The "true" fanbase doesn't care about changing sound, and support the band through all the hatred about changing)īecause you're a sky, you're a sky full of stars 'Cause you get lighter the more it gets dark (I want to stay with the fanbase through my whole life) 'Cause you're a sky, cause you're a sky full of stars. (Your here listening with the fandom anyway, if you don't like this one song, don't listen any new songs that come out) 'Cause in a sky, 'cause in a sky full of stars (Criticize all you want, make us feel bad) (The fans help them through complicated times, such as Chris and Gwyneth's split) (The band will give you all they got, everything from their heart) (I think this represents the glorious fandom that sticks with Coldplay through EVERYTHING) 'Cause you're a sky, you're a sky full of stars. My InterpretationI think this songs is about the "true" Coldplay fans that don't like the new sound and are saying they only doing it for money or whatever the heck those so-called fans are saying.
